Discover Kimbap Paradise

If you’re looking for a delicious Korean dining experience in Los Angeles, Kimbap Paradise is the place to be. Located at 401 Vermont Ave #1&2, Los Angeles, CA 90020, this cozy and inviting restaurant is a haven for anyone craving traditional Korean comfort food with a modern twist. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Kimbap Paradise offers a vibrant yet welcoming atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for a casual meal or gathering with friends and family.

The main highlight of Kimbap Paradise is, of course, their namesake: kimbap. Often referred to as Korean sushi, kimbap is a dish made with rice, vegetables, and sometimes meat, all rolled in a sheet of seaweed. While it might seem similar to sushi, it is actually quite different in terms of ingredients and preparation. At Kimbap Paradise, you can enjoy a variety of kimbap rolls, each bursting with fresh flavors and textures. Their classic rolls, such as the beef and vegetable kimbap, are simple yet full of flavor. For those looking to try something a bit more adventurous, the spicy tuna or kimchi kimbap offers a tangy, spicy kick that’s bound to satisfy your taste buds.

Beyond kimbap, Kimbap Paradise also features a diverse menu that highlights the best of Korean cuisine. From hearty soups to sizzling stone pot dishes, there’s something for everyone. One must-try item is their kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), a rich, flavorful dish that perfectly balances the tanginess of fermented kimchi with tender meat and tofu. It’s an excellent choice on a chilly day, providing warmth and comfort with each spoonful.

Another standout item is their bulgogi, thinly sliced beef marinated in a sweet-savory sauce, grilled to perfection, and served with a side of rice and vegetables. The dish is both satisfying and flavorful, making it a favorite among regulars. For those looking for a vegetarian option, the bibimbap is a great choice. This dish features a medley of fresh vegetables, a fried egg, and a dollop of gochujang (Korean chili paste) served over warm rice. Mix it all together for a mouthwatering, satisfying meal.

Not only is the food at Kimbap Paradise exceptional, but the service is also top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to offer recommendations or answer questions about the menu. It’s clear that they take pride in providing a welcoming environment, and their passion for Korean cuisine is evident in every dish they serve.

What sets Kimbap Paradise apart from other Korean restaurants in Los Angeles is its emphasis on quality and authenticity. The chefs use fresh ingredients and traditional methods to create each dish, ensuring that the flavors are both genuine and delicious. The attention to detail is evident in every bite, whether you're enjoying a savory bowl of bibimbap or snacking on crispy fried mandu (dumplings).

The restaurant’s cozy, inviting atmosphere adds to the overall experience. The interior is modern yet comfortable, with sleek furnishings and warm lighting that creates a relaxed environment. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, enjoy a great meal, and feel right at home. Whether you’re dining solo, with a group of friends, or on a casual date, Kimbap Paradise offers an enjoyable and intimate setting that enhances the overall dining experience.

Kimbap Paradise has quickly become a go-to spot for Korean food lovers in the city, and for good reason. It offers a wide range of flavorful dishes, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it stand out from the crowd. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, there’s no doubt that you’ll leave satisfied and eager to return. With its delicious kimbap, flavorful stews, and satisfying entrees, Kimbap Paradise truly lives up to its name as a little slice of paradise for anyone craving authentic Korean comfort food in Los Angeles.

  • Great for groups so you can order a lot of dishes and share. Their kimbap is super delicious - get the smoked beef one!! The service is friendly but maybe they need one or two more people working because for awhile it seemed like only one guy was taking orders and serving the entire place. Portions are big - the kimchi pasta was definitely meant to be shared as was the grilled mackerel. Their fried chicken is what dreams are made of.

  • Clean, spacious little restaurant in ktown — would totally come back here because of the prices. We got a noodle soup dish and the marinated beef kimbap and it was honestly so good and satisfying; the food is flavorful and not heavy and feels good when you eat it. It took a while to come out though, but the service was good, the waitresses and employees were super kind and friendly and the presentation of the food was good. The kimbap was good and the beef was sweet and delicious, kimbap is kimbap and it tasted as expected. The noodle soup was surprisingly good too, the portion sizes were all big. Overall would definitely come back because it’s cheap and it’s located in a plaza with parking!! Would highly recommend coming here for kimbap and take out.

  • This place has exceeded my expectations. I came in during lunch weekday so service was very quick. I ordered and about 10 minutes later, everything was served fresh. So far this is the best tasting Asian restaurant I've ever eaten at. Every dish has a unique flavor of its own. The sauces are really flavorful! I love it!

  • Very easy to do a to go order! They have a kiosk where you can customize your kimbap and it took around 15-20 minutes. Very tasty & convenient.

  • Even though I ordered a delivery, the food came earlier than expected and were still fresh and crispy! I got the Rose spicy rice cake soup, fried shrimps, fried calamari, fried chicken, a paradise kimbap, and a shrimp kimbap. The portion is definitely on the large side, so it’s perfectly shareable. They also give a regular egg in the rice cake soup instead of the quail eggs, which is fantastic and quite generous. It’s my first time trying rose flavored rice cake, and I really love the taste of it, which pairs so divinely well with ramen and the fried goods!! OMG the fried shrimps are unbeatable (especially considering the fact that it’s a delivery not dine in); the batter to meat proportion is just right, the crispiness of the outer crust is so satisfying, and the shrimp itself also has a fresh texture. As for the kimbap, I love both of the kimbap. The rolls are big, fresh, with good amount of fillings as well as a good meat to rice ratio! The paradise roll actually tastes more flavorful than I expected, containing both roasted beef and imitation crab. The side radish they have is also refreshing to eat with the kimbap! I would love to visit the place in person someday, and definitely would recommend to any kimbap lovers out there!

  • Nice little place ! The service was great and very attentive. It came out very fast. They give a delicious bowl of miso soup with really tasty sides !! We ordered a lot of Kimbrell didn’t really know how many would come with it definitely overdid it. The soup and the sides were really delicious but the rolls were pretty simple and plain. Inexpensive for what it is !

  • Fantastic Korean restaurant! We had the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and the Marinated Beef, both served with steamed rice. The meal also included a delicious fish soup, along with freshly prepared side dishes like pickled cucumbers, kimchi, fish cake, and a cabbage and carrot salad. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portions are very generous. The service was a solid 10/10 — truly excellent. It’s a great place to go out with friends, especially for groups of 10 or more. Highly recommended!

  • I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, glad I wasn’t disappointed! I’ll definitely come back to try more of their dishes since I only got to try the kimbap. The food was good and the side dishes were really good as well. The prices were very affordable as well! We went around 4-4:30pm on Sunday 3/23, the staff member at that time was very nice!
